Everyone shared in the festivities and good cheer at the beautifully decorated Northridge Country Club as we gathered for our annual holiday luncheon. The warm atmosphere was set by Mary Williams playing beautiful music as members and guests entered. We heard heartwarming presentations by scholarships recipients Thanh Ho and Andrea Weathington, who shared their stories of struggles and their dreams for the future. Our philanthropic efforts were directed to the Oak Park Preschool in memory of past president, Lois Graham, and donations totaled $850 plus some books and requested items. The very talented members of a flute quartet under the direction of Susan Hamre from American River College delighted us with their beautiful music, followed by an opportunity for members and guests to sing some carols and wish our good AAUW friends a happy holiday.
